SECON Awarded State of Louisiana Employee Testing Contract
West Caldwell, NJ, Jan 8, 2008 - Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC) is please to announce that SECON, CEC's drug testing division, has been awarded the State of Louisiana Employee Testing Contract for all agencies and departments statewide, effective February 1, 2008. The company previously provided these services to Louisiana in 1999 through 2002 when the state first implemented its program, and a second term, from November, 2005 to present.
Under terms of the contract, SECON's services to the state will include certified laboratory testing, on-site and statewide specimen collections, medical review services, random selection services and federal and state compliance issues. The contract term is three years, with two possible one year renewal terms and is expected to generate over 17,000 drug and alcohol screens annually.
In announcing this award, Donald Morales, President of SECON stated, "SECON is eager to continue the provision of our efficient professional services. A paramount concern of the State is the safety and health of its employees and the public, and we are excited to continue our assistance in this endeavor."
