ACRC program was first established in 1985. Offenders are referred through Colorado Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice, Arapahoe County Community Correction Board, Community Return to Custody (parole revocation) and County jurisdictions. ACRC serves as a sentencing alternative for Transitional and Diversion clients.

ACRC provides individual assessments, case management services, Women’s Recovery Academy, family services, and reentry services. Residents are referred off-site for substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment and educational services. The Women’s Recovery Academy is a recovery-based treatment approach to substance abuse and crime that is specifically designed for female offenders reentering society.

ACRC also provides a specialized program called ARCHES (Achieving Recovery, Changing Habits to Empower and Succeed) that provides intensive mental health and substance abuse treatment.
The goal of ACRC is to provide an intensive treatment program that will assist residents in their recovery, lead a crime-free lifestyle and have social and personal skills which lead them to healthy living for themselves and their families.
