CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN RE-ENTRY CENTER (CMRC)

2925 East Las Vegas St.
Colorado Springs, CO 80906
719-390-0125

Contracting Agency: Colorado Department of Corrections

Capacity: 750 adult males

CMRC is accredited with the American Correctional Association (ACA) scoring a rating of 100% on mandatory and non-mandatory standards.

The Cheyenne Mountain Re-Entry Center (CMRC) opened in 2005 as a state of the art treatment center offering a comprehensive reentry program for 750 males. The Center was built entirely with financing from CEC, requiring no funding from the state of Colorado. CMRC functions as a “Positive Peer Community” culture dedicated to the education and preparation of residents transitioning to communities within the greater society. This approach, we believe, supports the program objectives of the Colorado Department of Corrections. The facility has been designed to include unit-based resident structure, supervised by group housing program teams. The program structure includes an earned privilege system and developmental phase system with clear resident objectives, focused at internalization of the right living values.
