Delaney Hall is accredited with the American Correctional Association (ACA) scoring a rating of 100% on mandatory and non-mandatory standards.

Delaney Hall opened in May of 2000. Its populations includes county offenders that are referred through Essex County Department of Public Safety and state offenders referred through the New Jersey State Parole Board. Delaney Hall is named after Geraldine O. Delaney who was a pioneer in the field of substance abuse treatment.

Delaney Hall provides residential reentry treatment services for several referring sources and its goal is to reduce offender recidivism. Delaney Hall treatment services include assessments, substance abuse treatment, life skills training, individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, anger management, and educational and GED services.

Delaney Hall also maintains very active Alumni Services that provides aftercare services to ex-offenders including housing and employment referrals, continued substance abuse and alcohol treatment, and mentorship. The Family Services program at Delaney Hall serves to reunite residents with their families through controlled and therapeutic settings and activities.

Visitation Schedule:

All visitors must be pre-approved. Residents must fill out visitor cards which are then subject to approval by a program counselor.

Any minor entering the facility must be escorted by their parent, grandparent and/or legal guardian who must provide documentation showing guardianship.
