Federal Bureau of Prisons Awards CEC New Jersey Residential Reentry Contract

Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC) was awarded a contract from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) to provide reentry services to 100 federal offenders at Logan Hall, CEC’s 600-bed residential treatment center in Newark, New Jersey.

Community Education Centers now operates three residential reentry contracts with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, including one in Casper, Wyoming and another in Rapid City, South Dakota. Federal offenders referred to Logan Hall will receive comprehensive reentry services, designed to facilitate each offender’s successful return into the community. Under the terms of the proposed contract, CEC will provide assessment, treatment, and work-release programs to address the needs of the BOP-referred population. The treatment programs include life skills training, educational instruction, and job skills classes. “CEC is excited about the opportunity to provide these reentry services to the New Jersey federal population. CEC research has shown that our New Jersey-based reentry services are proven to reduce recidivism and we look forward to continuing this positive track record with the Bureau,” said Mr. Clancy.
