Community Alternatives of Black Hills
5025 Highway 79 South, Rapid City, South Dakota

Community Alternatives of Black Hills opened in January of 1992 and is comprised of two buildings. It has an 80-bed adult residential capacity and offers comprehensive residential and non-residential services to male and female participants. The program utilizes local community resources, which provide continued treatment and supervision following release from the program.

Many participants are near release and the program is designed to facilitate each participant's transition from incarceration or criminal conduct to independent, lawful living. Case management focuses on problem assessment, treatment planning, substance abuse counseling, relapse prevention, life-skills instruction, employment assistance and release planning.
