Union County Drug Court Recognizes Contributions of Delaney Hall
NEWARK, NJ (January 29, 2003)--The Union County (NJ) Drug Court Program has awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Delaney Hall in recognition for the valuable contributions that Delaney Hall has made to the County.
“Delaney Hall has been very beneficial in helping participants in the Drug Court Programs and in reducing the overall drop-out rate among participants in the Drug Court Programs. Delaney Hall has been a blessing and has helped the Drug Court Programs to be successful,” said to Colin Lochner, Coordinator of the Union County Drug Court Program.
“We are pleased to receive this recognition from the State of New Jersey Superior Court, Drug Court Program, and will continue to serve the community through our comprehensive treatment programs,” said John J. Clancy, President and CEO of Community Education Centers (CEC), which owns and operates Delaney Hall. “Community Education Centers is committed to reducing recidivism by providing treatment, training and educational programs in safe and secure settings,” added Mr. Clancy.
Delaney Hall opened in May of 2000 and provides residential treatment and monitoring services for 726 male and female residents. The program helps participants successfully re-integrate into their communities.
The Union County Drug Court Program strives to break the cycle of addiction that fuels drug related crime. To do this, the Drug Court relies on a combination of incentives, intensive judicial and probation supervision, substance abuse treatment, drug testing and other services that support recovery and reduce recidivism. These services are provided by substance abuse treatment programs and community organizations that partner with the Drug Court.
The Union County Drug Court Program is supported by a combination of funds provided by the State of New Jersey, Administrators of the Courts and the Office of Justice Programs and the Drug Courts Program Office.
