Mr. Roberts previously served as the Clinical Director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Substance Abuse Treatment Program. In that capacity, he was responsible for developing all substance abuse treatment curricula for use in the state’s prisons, jails, substance abuse felony punishment facilities, pre-release, and youthful offender programs. Mr. Roberts is the author of “Addiction and Recovery Education” and co-authored the “Turning Point” and “Cognitive Intervention for Substance Abusers” curricula, which have been implemented by state, federal, and private prison treatment programs.
