CEC Awarded 90 Additional Beds at its Liberty Hall Facility
ROSELAND, NJ (October 27, 2004)—The Indiana Department of Correction recently amended its contract with Community Education Centers (CEC) to include an additional 90 residential beds. The additional beds are designated for parole violators.
Liberty Hall is a 250-bed facility located at 675 East Washington Street in Indianapolis. The facility provides treatment services for Technical Rule Violators who are referred to the program by Community Correction agencies and Probation Departments throughout the State of Indiana.
The residential treatment program at Liberty Hall focuses on a cognitive behavioral model that encompasses substance abuse treatment, GED/adult and basic education, life skills, employment preparation and community reintegration.
CEC has received approval from the local Zoning Board to expand the future capacity of Liberty Hall to 500 beds. The facility operates according to standards established by the Indiana Department of Correction and is accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA). The accreditation award was granted by an ACA committee following a two-day audit in which Liberty Hall achieved a score of 100% on both mandatory and non-mandatory standards.
