ROSELAND, NJ (July 2, 2002)--During the past several months, Community Education Centers (CEC) has hired new employees for its Corporate office in Roseland to help support the overall mission of the company. On April 8, 2002, Marlene Riordan joined the CEC Corporate management team as Director of Quality Management. Dr. Lee Underwood, PsyD joined the CEC Corporate management team on June 4, 2002 as Director of Clinical Operations.
Ms. Riordan is responsible for CEC's Quality Management, Licensing and Accreditation programs. Ms. Riordan has over 30 years of quality management and healthcare administration experience. She was most recently Associate Administrator for Quality Management with Mount Carmel Guild Behavioral Systems. Prior to that, she held healthcare administrative positions for GynCor, Inc., HIP/Pinnacle Health Enterprises and Garden State Medical Group/HIP. Ms. Riordan holds a MPA in Health Services Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a BSN from Seton Hall University and a RN from Uniontown Hospital. She has been assisting with the reorganization at Lipman Hall and is temporarily assigned to the facility. Ms. Riordan will eventually move to the Corporate Office in Roseland.
Dr. Underwood has corporate responsibility for company-wide clinical programs. He joins CEC with over 15 years of clinical treatment and adolescent treatment experience. Previously, Dr. Underwood was the Program Chair at Regent University School of Psychology & Counseling, MA and PhD Counseling programs. He has also held treatment positions with Policy Research Inc., First Corrections Corporation and the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Dr. Underwood is considered an expert in his field, has lectured extensively and is well published. He holds a Doctor of Psychology degree from Wright University and a Masters degree in Counseling and Family Services from CBN University. Dr. Underwood has been recently consulting with CEC. Dr. Underwood will be temporarily located at Lipman Hall and will eventually move to the Corporate office in Roseland.
