A recent cost/benefit analysis of CEC’s continuum-of-care reentry treatment program conducted by Dr. Michael French, Professor of Health Economics at the University of Miami and Dr. Hai Fang, a researcher with the Health Economics Research Group of the University of Miami, found that offenders that received CEC reentry treatment services had significantly lower recidivism rates “that translated into sizable economic benefits” for the State. Specifically, the benefit of CEC reentry treatment translated into a $6,200 savings per offender for the first year postrelease. Click Here to View the Study.
