International Team Films Documentary at Talbot Hall
West Caldwell, NJ,
Dec 4 -
Today, Dr. Yongjin Kim, Project Director for Crops of Love Ministries based in Malawi, Africa and a film crew from the Korean-based Christian Television System arrived at Talbot Hall, CEC’s 500-bed assessment and treatment center in Kearny, New Jersey, to film a profile piece on private correctional services. Dr. Kim was tasked with finding America's most effective reentry programs for a documentary and discovered CEC’s unique brand of treatment services through the company’s web page.
The documentary coincides with the recent decision of Korea’s Ministry of Justice to privatize the country’s first correctional institution. Dr. Kim and crew visited correctional facilities in South America, Africa, and Australia before stopping at Talbot Hall in New Jersey.
“CEC has set the bar of excellence for correctional treatment program in America. As Korea embarks on its first private correctional institution, effective reentry programming will only serve to reduce its prison populations,” said Dr. Robert Mackey, Senior Vice President for Clinical Services, Quality Assurance, and Research.
The crew spent a full day interviewing CEC clinical staff about Talbot Hall’s assessment and reentry treatment services. They will head to CEC’s Limestone County Detention Center in Groesbeck, Texas later in the month to capture the new reentry treatment program and exceptional operations of the company’s Secure Facilities Division.
