CEC Welcomes Rodney Brockenbrough as New Director of the Albert M. Bo Robinson Assessment and Treatment Center

Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC) welcomes Rodney Brockenbrough as the Director of the Albert M. Bo Robinson Assessment and Treatment Center, the company’s 850-bed residential assessment and treatment facility in Trenton, New Jersey. Mr. Brockenbrough joins CEC from the Philadelphia Prison System (PPS), where he served as Deputy Commissioner for Operations, the second highest position within the department.

Mr. Brockenbrough began his career with the Philadelphia Prison system as a correctional officer in 1984 and rose through the ranks to attain his final position as Deputy Commissioner for Operations. An avid student of correctional theories and philosophies, Mr. Brockenbrough has been able to apply his accrued knowledge and appreciation of sound correctional practices to the benefit of a number of operational components throughout his career.
In addition to being a member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, Mr. Brockenbrough is also a member of the Pennsylvania Prison Wardens Association, and served on the executive board as the Representative of the Eastern Region. He also holds memberships with the American Correctional Association, American Jail Association, North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents, Academy of Correctional Health Professionals, and the National Major Gang Task Force. He has served on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board for Katherine Gibbs College.
“In my new role as Director of the Albert M. Bo Robinson Treatment and Assessment Center, I look forward to using my extensive correctional experience with the ultimate goal of maintaining a safe and secure facility that effectively reduces recidivism,” said Mr. Brockenbrough.
The Albert M. Bo Robinson Assessment & Treatment Center opened in January 1997 and serves male and female residents. Reentry treatment services are provided at the facility for the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC), New Jersey State Parole Board (NJSPB), and Mercer and Gloucester Counties. Bo Robinson serves the NJDOC as an assessment center and gathers information about residents to determine their current risk of recidivism, treatment needs, and suitability for placement in community work release programs. New Jersey State Parole Board programs at Bo Robinson include Stages to Enhance Parolee Success (STEPS) and the Reentry Substance Abuse Program (RESAP).
