
Corrections Overview
Comprehensive management of county, state, and federal correctional institutions is a strategic focus of CEC Corrections. CEC Corrections currently manages inmates from various jurisdictions and provides quality incarceration services consistent with state, local, and federal detention standards including the U.S. Marshals Service, the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
CEC Corrections puts tremendous value on maintaining compliance with industry standards established by leading organizations that define quality inmate care. Facilities are regularly audited by the American Correctional Association (ACA), and the appropriate federal and state authorities. In addition, we have our own dedicated Quality Management department that routinely audits all of our facilities for compliance.

Employee Training
Officers receive over 160 hours of quality training upon employment and remain compliant with American Correctional Association standards as well as state, county, and federal training guidelines. In addition, CEC employs certified firearms instructors who provide specialized training in safe weapons use and handling. Specialized training is also provided in the following areas:

Fire Safety • Suicide Prevention •Supervisory and Management Issues • Defensive Tactics • Chemical Agent Deployment • Special Emergency Response Team Training (S.E.R.T) • Mental Health Correctional Officer Certification Training • Instructor Development Training • and many other topics
Health Care Services
A comprehensive health care program is provided that includes a continuum of services consisting of routine ambulatory care services, specialty care, emergency care, dental services, mental health care, and utilization review services. Only physicians who are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Room Medicine are employed, along with subspecialties in other clinical areas to provide as many on-site medical resources as possible.
CEC’s nurses have experience working with various correctional agencies including county, state, the BOP, U.S. Marshals Service, and ICE. The company seeks to recruit nurses with hospital-based experience, ambulatory care, emergency room, mental health, and Med-Surge experience.
Transportation
CEC Corrections provides DOT approved secure transportation for several thousand inmates per year. Services are conducted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Custom-designed vehicles including twelve passenger vans as well as large capacity secure buses are in use.
Community Involvement
CEC Corrections recognizes the importance of support to the local community in which they are a part of by providing continued participation in community projects, emphasizing the CEC mission of rehabilitation and creating better communities. CEC is proud to have a presence at community events that include charitable organization fundraisers, assistance to law enforcement, emergency help (delivering food, assisting with transport), county student sponsorships, and other local events.
