HISTORY
- CEC began delivering services at Graham Correctional Center on October 1, 2006.
- Reentry treatment is offered to offenders on a voluntary basis or as ordered by the court.
- Graham Correctional Center is an Illinois Department of Corrections Level 4 (medium security) facility, which opened in September 1980 and is located on 117 acres and has 50 buildings within the facility.
SERVICES
- CEC staff provide substance abuse services to 160 adult males at the Illinois Graham Correctional Center in a Modified Therapeutic Community Setting.
- Offenders are educated on relapse prevention and provided the pro-social skills necessary to successfully reenter society.
- The CEC program at Graham Correctional Center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse to provide Level I Adult Outpatient and Level II Intensive Outpatient Services.
- Included within the treatment protocol are individual assessments, treatment plans, individual and group counseling and substance abuse education services.
- Substance abuse services are incorporated into three phases of treatment including orientation, treatment and relapse prevention.
- The CEC program at Graham incorporates peer-led support group meetings, such as AA, CA, and NA which are held weekly.
- A GED educational study group is also available to offenders.
- All program participants are provided with a discharge summary prior to release which includes an aftercare referral in order to ensure a continuum of care upon release.
- CEC has also partnered with TASC at Graham to provide additional aftercare services to eligible program participants upon their release.
