HISTORY
- CEC began delivering services at Taylorville Correctional Center on October 1, 2006.
- Treatment is offered to offenders on a voluntary basis or as ordered by the court.
- Taylorville Correctional Center is a Level 5 Illinois Department of Corrections, high minimum security threat group free facility, which opened in November of 1990.
SERVICES
- CEC provides substance abuse treatment services at Taylorville Correctional Center to 120 adult males in a modified therapeutic community setting.
- Included in the treatment protocol at Taylorville are individual assessments, treatment plans, individual and group counseling and substance abuse education.
- CEC is licensed by The Illinois Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse to provide Level I Outpatient and Level II Intensive Outpatient Services at Taylorville Correctional Center.
- Substance Abuse Services are incorporated into 3 phases including Orientation. Treatment and Relapse Prevention.
- Weekly peer led support groups are held including NA, AA, and CA.
- Prior to completing the program a Discharge Summary is developed for each program participant which includes an aftercare referral, if appropriate, in order to ensure a continuum of care and successful reentry into society.
