A - Z:
Friday, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
A - K:
Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am to 12 noon.
L - Z:
Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
S - M - U:
Tuesday ONLY from 9:00 am to 11:00 am (second Tuesday of the month SMU visits are 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm)

HISTORY
- Women's Recovery Academy opened in July 19, 2009.
- The Women's Recovery Academy Program participants are the "Sisters to the Brothers in Recovery" of the Turbeville Correctional Recovery Academy.
- The participants are referred by the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
SERVICES
- CEC staff provide therapeutic community treatment services inside this South Carolina Department of Corrections facility.
- WRA provides in-prison substance abuse treatment for adult women. The program stay ranges from 6-12 months with a minimum of 18 hours of direct service per week.
- WRA provides programming to address the unique treatment issues of female inmates by implementing current gender specific programming and continuing to develop curricula as needed.
- WRA provides individual assessments, individual and group counseling, substance abuse treatment, after care and alumni groups for program participants that have successfully completed the treatment program but remain in the institution.
- WRA's design provides inmates a genuine opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to successfully integrate back into the social mainstream of society.
- The goal of the Women's Recovery Academy is to reduce chronic recidivism of substance abuse and crime.
- The Academy utilizes a specialized expert curriculum supported by the principles of social learning.
