VISITATION SCHEDULE

Visitation Schedule is by Offenders last name and begins at 6:00 pm. Visits are 20 minutes per visit.

A-F: Monday & Thursday
G-M: Tuesday & Friday
N-Z: Wednesday & Saturday

ICE Visitation:

Saturdays & Sundays (8:30am - 10:30am)

 

HISTORY

  • The Johnson County Jail was built in 1987 with a 312-bed capacity.
  • In 2000, 176 beds were added and in 2006 another 288-beds were added to total 776-beds.

SERVICES

  • CEC provides jail/detention management services at the Johnson County Jail.
  • CEC coordinates GED services and volunteer religious services are provided for offenders.
  • Volunteer offenders provide community service projects through the inmate work program that includes county project cleanups and various jobs for local precincts.
  • Basic medical, dental, and mental health services are provided at the Johnson County Jail.
  • The Helping Open People's Eyes Program (HOPE) is offered at the facility by the County and provides substance abuse treatment services.
