CEC Community Education Centers, (CEC) takes pride in bringing the highest quality health care services to inmates and residents in their care on a daily basis. CEC participated in celebrating National Nurses Week, (May 6-12) which provided an opportunity for the Health Care Services department to express their gratitude to their hard working staff for their commitment and excellent service.
“I am very proud of our accomplished Health Care Services staff that continuously strive to deliver the best quality health care for those in our facilities nationwide,” said Linda Pansulla, Vice President of Health Care Services. “We are grateful to have dedicated professionals that bring a diverse range of medical backgrounds to serve at CEC.”
Health care staff received gifts of lunch bags and water bottles as a thank you for their service and hard work throughout the year. Each were inscribed with the CEC Logo that read: “CEC Medical Staff, A Force for Change 2016”.
The focus of the Health Care Services division is to design and manage integrated health care delivery systems that provide quality care, risk management and comprehensive services that include current trends in health care awareness. The medical treatment model in practice at CEC is in accordance with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation standards.
The Medical services division has extensive capabilities including nursing services/medication monitoring, health assessments, physical examinations, triage services, management of chronic disease, on-site emergency response, dental visits, pharmacy services, laboratory services, infection control and health education.
CEC is a leading national provider of rehabilitative services for offenders in reentry and in-prison treatment facilities, as well as providing comprehensive management of county, state, and federal jail and detention facilities. The Company provides evidence-based programming for residential and non-residential clients and maintains a documented record of reducing recidivism. CEC services also include drug and alcohol testing by SECON, a comprehensive drug testing and screening company that provides services worldwide.
