Community Education Centers Announces New Director of Liberty Hall
Roseland, NJ, Aug 16, 2006 - Community Education Centers (CEC) announced today that Tim Baltz has been named Director of Liberty Hall, CEC's Indianapolis-based residential treatment center. Mr. Baltz has over 30 years experience in the corrections industry, including the management of multi-level security correctional facilities for governments as well as the private sector.
"I am pleased to welcome Mr. Baltz to our company and am confident that he will provide quality leadership as the Director of Liberty Hall as a result of his extensive professional experience," said John Clancy, President and CEO of CEC.
In 1974, Mr. Baltz was named the Arkansas Department of Corrections' first Public Information Officer. For the next fifteen years, Mr. Baltz continued to serve the Arkansas Department of Corrections in various roles, including warden of the Wrightsville State Prison, a 730-bed medium-security facility. Mr. Baltz has also held various positions for Corrections Corporation of America, where he served as warden of 1700-bed multi-level security county jail in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"With the recent addition of the specialized women's program to Liberty Hall, the facility has truly become a powerful tool to prepare offenders for reentry and ultimately reduce recidivism. I look forward to this exciting opportunity that will benefit both Marion County and the State of Indiana," said Mr. Baltz.
Mr. Baltz has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Almeda University. He is a member of the American Correctional Association, American Jail Association, and the Southern States Correctional Association.
