MSNBC Profiles Community Education Centers

Roseland, NJ, Sep 27, 2006 - MSNBC profiled Community Education Centers, Inc. on its television show The Ethical Edge: Crime and Punishment. The national media outlet chronicled CEC's unique reentry model and included interviews with Keith Hooper, Director of Operations at Talbot Hall, and Bill Palatucci, Senior Vice President/General Counsel. The piece was filmed at Talbot Hall, CEC's New Jersey-based 500-bed residential treatment center, and aired on September 24, 2006.

"As the nation's leading provider of reentry services to diverse criminal justice populations, CEC takes great pride in delivering quality services to government agencies. This MSNBC profile captures the cost-effectiveness of CEC's programsas less offenders return to prison, the burden on taxpayers is reduced," said John Clancy, President and CEO of CEC.

Recently, Community Education Centers has garnered a great deal of national media attention. In addition, CEC Alumnus Keith Hooper participated in a national radio program roundtable discussion on prisoner reentry.

Hosted by Chris Jansing, MSNBC's "The Ethical Edge" is an hour-long special that examines ethical questions of current news events. Ms. Jansing serves as daytime anchor on MSNBC as well as a correspondent for MSNBC and NBC News.
