Bo-Robinson Recommended for ACA Re-Accreditation

Roseland, NJ, Nov 8, 2006 - Bo-Robinson, CEC's 420-bed residential treatment center in Trenton, New Jersey, was recommended today for re-accreditation and awarded a perfect score from the American Correctional Association (ACA), scoring 100% on mandatory and non-mandatory standards. CEC now operates ten facilities that are ACA accredited - nine of which have received scores of 100% on mandatory and non-mandatory standards.

"I'm proud of CEC's accomplishments. We will continue to strive to meet and exceed the national standards set by ACA. Receiving re-accreditation is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our employees. I'd like to express my gratitude to all those who helped us reach our accreditation goals," said John Clancy, President and CEO of CEC.

The Albert M. "Bo" Robinson Education and Training Center, opened in January 1997 and provides comprehensive assessments and treatment to 420 male and female offenders referred from the New Jersey Department of Corrections, The New Jersey State Parole Board, and Mercer County, New Jersey. While residing at Bo Robinson, residents are assessed for current risk factors for public safety concerns and recidivism. Data is also collected to assess the resident's current treatment needs.

The treatment component at Bo-Robinson consists of individual and group counseling, substance abuse treatment, educational services, vocational training, skills-based trainings, family services, and aftercare/alumni services. In addition, the facility provides gender-specific programming designed to help female residents address issues related to substance abuse, criminal thinking, and domestic violence.

"The staff at Bo-Robison worked hard to prepare for this audit. Their work has paid off and Bo-Robinson continues to be an excellent facility that meets the standards set forth by the American Correctional Association," said Mike Oliver, Facility Director.

CEC currently operates nine other facilities that are accredited by ACA, Standards for Adult Community Residential Corrections Services.
