CEC Featured in Corrections Forum Magazine

Roseland, NJ, Jan 12, 2007 - Community Education Centers, Inc. was recently featured in Corrections Forum magazine. The informative piece provided a thorough overview of the company and mentioned CEC's exceptional results reducing recidivism in the state of New Jersey. The piece also included a profile of CEC's Cheyenne Mountain Re-Entry Center, Colorado's largest re-entry facility.

Excerpt from Article:
"In 2004, an outcome study published in Corrections Compendium, a peer reviewed journal of the American Correctional Association, found a 30 percent reduction in the rate of recidivism at one-year post incarceration for inmates processing through CEC assessment centers to Residential Community Release Programs compared with a similar group of New Jersey Department of Corrections inmates.

The results of the study indicate that effective correctional treatment impacts positively on recidivism in terms of rearrest, reconviction, and reincarceration during the first year post-incarceration period; the time period when traditionally two-thirds of the reoffenses occur."
