Dr. Fretz Receives Treatment Certificate, Will Present at Two Conferences

Roseland, Jul 10, 2007 - Dr. Ralph Fretz, Director of Assessment and Research at Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC), will present at two industry conferences-The International Community Corrections Association Conference (ICCA) in San Diego and the American Probation and Parole Conference (APPA) in Philadelphia.

"I look forward to presenting at these conferences. CEC's evidence-based reentry model has consistently reduced reduce recidivism and I enjoy the opportunity to share our unique and effective approach with others," said Dr. Fretz.

At the Annual APPA conference Dr. Fretz will present "The Evaluation of Offender Risk/Needs in the 21st Century: Risk, Need, Responsivity (RNR) as the Driving Force in Reentry Assessment." At the ICCA conference he will present on the topic, "Risk-Need -Responsivity (RNR) in the 21st Century: How to Assess these Principles and Properly Communicate the Assessment Data."

On June 1, 2007, Dr. Fretz was awarded a Certificate of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders from the American Psychological Association College of Professional Psychology. In order to earn this certification, one needs a Ph.D. in Psychology, be licensed as psychologist, have three documented years of supervised experience in substance abuse treatment, and pass a comprehensive examination.
