Casper Re-Entry Center Recommended for Two ACA Accreditations
West Caldwell, NJ, Feb 27, 2008 - The Casper Re-Entry Center (CRC), Wyoming's largest reentry facility, was recommended for two ACA accreditations, scoring 100% on all mandatory and non-mandatory standards. CRC was recommended for Adult Community Residential Services (ACRS) and Therapeutic Community (TC) accreditations after the two day audit and received glowing accolades with one auditor commenting that CRC, "far exceeded ACA TC standards."
CEC now operates fourteen facilities that are ACA accredited - all of which have received scores of 100% on mandatory and non-mandatory standards, a record that is unprecedented in the industry. "I am very proud of this accomplishment and would like to thank our staff who made this accreditation a reality. The Casper Re-Entry Center is a very important facility in the State of Wyoming where the ultimate goal is to provide quality reentry services that reduce recidivism," said John J. Clancy, Chairman and CEO of CEC.
CRC's recommendation for accreditation starts 2008 the same way 2007 ended - with an unparalleled run of 100% accreditation scores. In August, the Cheyenne Mountain Re-Entry Center, Colorado's largest reentry facility, was awarded ACA accreditation with a score of 100%. Earlier that year, CEC had four facilities - Talbot Hall, The Albert M. "Bo" Robinson Education and Training Center, The Harbor, and Tully House - officially reaccredited by ACA at the Correction Accreditation Managers' Association (CAMA) conference in Covington, Kentucky.
"Having seen firsthand the efforts of our staff, I would like to congratulate each one on a job well done. CEC maintains a corporate goal of accreditation at all of our facilities - the accreditation of the Casper Re-Entry Centers is a great milestone towards that objective," said Dr. Robert Mackey, Chief Operating Officer at CEC.

Casper Hall The Casper Re-Entry Center also houses a medium secure Therapeutic Community (TC) program called Casper Hall. The average length of stay is approximately nine (9) months. Residents' course and progress in treatment is contingent upon comprehensive multi-disciplinary case planning to include: regularly updated treatment plans, behavioral evaluations, merit/demerit reports, pre/post test results, journaling, individual and group treatment progress, attendance, general walk-around behavior, status hearings, incentives/sanctions, and competency based phase progression/regression.
