Delaney Hall Accepts U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Detainees

West Caldwell, NJ, Sep 21, 2008 - Delaney Hall, Community Education Centers' 1196-bed residential reentry center in Newark, New Jersey accepted approximately 150 detainees from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This population is housed in a specialized unit and the detainees are referred through an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Essex County, New Jersey.

Delaney Hall which opened in 2000, currently provides residential services for Essex County, New Jersey, Union County, New Jersey and recently became a Residential Assessment Center (RAC) for the New Jersey State Parole Board. Delaney Hall's expansion was completed in February 2008 which increased the facility's capacity from 790-beds to 1196-beds.
