Harbor Holds Annual Alumni Thanksgiving Celebration
West Caldwell, NJ, Nov 19, 2008 - The Harbor, Community Education Centers' 152-bed residential reentry center in Hoboken, New Jersey, held is annual Thanksgiving celebration today. Current residents were joined by several CEC alumni who shared their stories of successful reentry. A huge meal was cooked by the Harbor for its staff and alumni.
"This annual event at the Harbor truly captures the spirit of holiday giving. Our residents are really moved by the stories of our Alumni and they resonate especially deeper around the holidays," said Tom Brady, Director of the Harbor.
The CEC Alumni Association assists offenders in their transition from treatment back into the community through the provision of supportive services as they face the obstacles and difficulties associated with remaining pro-social members of their families and community. The Alumni Association is comprised of former offenders who have successfully completed a CEC program.
