Logan Hall Recommended for American Correctional Association Reaccreditation
West Caldwell, NJ, Aug 18 - Logan Hall, Community Education Centers, Inc.'s (CEC), 600-bed residential reentry center in Newark, New Jersey was recommended today for American Correctional Association (ACA) reaccreditation with a perfect score following a two day audit. Logan Hall scored 100% on mandatory and non-mandatory Adult Community Residential Services (ACRS) standards. CEC now operates eighteen facilities that are ACA accredited-sixteen of which have received scores of 100% on all mandatory and non-mandatory standards, a record that is unprecedented in the industry. Logan Hall will receive its official reaccreditation in January 2010 at the association's winter conference in Tampa, Florida.

Logan Hall provides comprehensive residential reentry services to offenders referred from Union County, New Jersey, the New Jersey State Parole Board (NJSPB) and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and reflects CEC's unique ability to provide rehabilitative and educational services to diverse populations in the same facility. The ACA auditors commented positively on the professionalism and team work of Logan Hall staff and the cleanliness of the facility.

Logan Hall opened in July 2004 and was designed to accommodate a wide range of at-risk correctional populations. Residents participate in life skills counseling, health and wellness training, vocational/job readiness programs, substance abuse treatment, bi-weekly individualized counseling, educational and GED preparation, and case management. Program planning is also offered to assist in securing a successful reintegration into society. The goals of Logan Hall are to reduce recidivism and accomplish successful transitions to community living.
