CEC Awarded Contract for Continued Operation of Chester County, Pennsylvania In-Prison Treatment Program

West Caldwell, NJ, Oct 26, 2009 - Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC) was awarded a contract for the continued operation of the Chester County, Pennsylvania in-prison treatment program. Under the terms of the contract, CEC will provide therapeutic community services for adult males and females at the Chester County Correctional Center and intensive and standard day programs at the Chester County Prison.

"I would like to thank Chester County for the confidence they have show in our company to provide reentry treatment services to county offenders. Our goal is to reduce recidivism and we look forward to continuing to provide treatment services that are a source of pride for the County," said John J. Clancy, Chairman and CEC of CEC.

At the Correctional Center, CEC operates a Therapeutic Community that provides residential substance abuse services. Individuals are assessed by CEC to determine suitability for program placement. Program completion of the therapeutic community program and aftercare becomes part of their sentence.

At the Chester County Prison, CEC provides intensive day programs, one for men and one for women, for a maximum of 12 participants in each program. Each program includes individual therapy, assessments, group therapy, psycho-educational group sessions and aftercare planning. The day program services includes individual therapy, psycho-educational group sessions, anger management therapy, sex offender therapy, domestic violence services.
