Family Services Program at Delaney Hall Welcomes Spring

West Caldwell, NJ April 24 -
The Delaney Hall Family Services program welcomed spring by highlighting the importance establishing meaningful family activities. Over the course of several family nights, families were provided with educational opportunities to develop traditions around the change of seasons.

“A new approach to family life includes conveying the importance of gathering for nightly or weekly dinners and assigning children chores to help contribute to family responsibilities. Family traditions that are part of the holidays are important routines for a family’s health and the strengthening of relationships,” said Dr. Louis Barretti, Director of CEC’s Family Service Program.

Families enjoyed participating in the activities that encouraged the development of routines. Tables were covered in pastel colored paper and sprinkled with bags of jelly beans and lollipops. Children and residents dyed eggs, made colorful baskets and family photos were taken.
