Five Residential Reentry Facilities Recommended For American Correctional Association Reaccreditation
West Caldwell, NJ May 19 -
Five CEC residential reentry facilities were recommended for American Correction Association (ACA) reaccreditation with perfect 100% scores on all mandatory and non-mandatory standards. The facilities include three in Colorado—Community Alternatives of El Paso County, in Colorado Springs, Tooley Hall in Denver, and Arapahoe County Reentry Center in Littleton, and two in Pennsylvania—Penn Pavilion in New Brighton and Alle Kiski in Arnold. The facilities will receive official accreditations at the ACA summer conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“I want to thank all the staff at each facility for their efforts to achieve these reaccreditations,” said Dr. Robert Mackey, Senior Vice President for Reentry Operations. “The work of our staff is greatly appreciated and their efforts provide those we care for with a second chance to live new and meaningful lives.”
ACA standards address services, programs, and operations essential to effective correctional management. Through accreditation, an agency is able to maintain a balance between protecting the public and providing an environment that safeguards the life, health, and safety of staff and residents. Standards set by ACA reflect practical up-to-date policies and procedures and function as a management tool for agencies and facilities throughout the world.
