Back To School Supply Drives Held Across the County

West Caldwell, NJ September 29 -
September is a busy month for CEC’s Family Services program across the country as many “Back to School” activities take place in an effort to support a healthy start to the school year. Beginning in late August, Family Services Coordinators schedule school supply drives and events designed to educate parents and children about the importance of school attendance, and to provide residents the opportunity to become more involved in their child’s education.

“Family participation and support for education is encouraged by CEC Family Service program counselors who remind the families of the importance of a good breakfast, the importance of doing and checking homework, participation in extracurricular activities, and peer association. Attention is also placed on the value of education and the importance of staying in school,” said Dr. Louis Barretti, Director of CEC’s Family Services Program.
