CEC AWARDED CONTRACT FROM PPS FOR ROTH HALL
West Caldwell, NJ July 1 -
CEC proudly welcomes a new residential treatment program that will accommodate residents from the Philadelphia Prison System (PPS) to Roth Hall, beginning July 1. CEC is very pleased to extend its programming to include individuals that will be provided with CEC’s evidence-based treatment model of services that includes comprehensive assessments, individual and group counseling, substance abuse treatment, skills-based training and aftercare services to a capacity of 136 males and females.
“We are grateful to the Philadelphia Prison System for their continued confidence in our company to provide our treatment model of services to residents reentering society,” said Steve Tomlin, Senior Vice President of Reentry Operations. “We have seen lives turn around after participating in our treatment programming, prepared with counseling and skills-based training to reenter society.”
CEC maintains six additional facilities in Philadelphia as well as an outpatient treatment center. The company has been partnered with the PPS in treatment for residents at Hoffman Hall, an assessment and residential reentry facility located nearby in Philadelphia.
The population at Roth Hall is a county work release group that will be engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that will conduct programming in the day and/or evening. CBT is a psychotherapeutic approach to examining the connection between thoughts and behavior. The program will focus on peer-led education, which provides the social skills necessary to successfully reenter society and support the transition from criminal thinking to positive behavior.
The term of the contract is one year with three renewable options. CEC is pleased to welcome the new residents to Roth Hall, and looks forward to continued service to PPS.
