The focus of CEC’s Health Care Services department is on developing processes and maintaining systems that provide quality individualized medical services. The medical treatment model in practice operates in accordance with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation standards. CEC maintains medical treatment services in seventeen facilities across the U.S. The company has been dealing with large correctional populations since 1994.

The Health Care Services department has extensive capabilities in providing services across the continuum of care. Services include nursing services, medication monitoring, health assessments, physical examinations, mental health services, triage services, management of chronic disease, dental care, pharmacy services, laboratory services, on-site emergency response, infection control, health education and discharge planning.
