CEC’s reentry continuum of care begins with a comprehensive risk/needs assessment of each individual, which is vitally important in formulating the most effective treatment goals for each resident. The purpose of the assessment process is to gather information to determine the resident’s current risk level and needs in order to increase public safety by reducing the likelihood of recidivism. The treatment plan is designed to increase the resident’s opportunities to lead productive lives. The assessment findings drive the dosage and type of treatment for each individual.
