The Delaney Hall Detention Facility opened in September 2011. It is named after Geraldine O. Delaney who was a pioneer in the field of substance abuse treatment.

Detainees are referred from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) through the Essex County Department of Corrections. Delaney Hall Detention Facility provides a humane environment for detainees filled with expansive activities, extensive visitation, and easy access to legal services.

Delaney Hall Detention Facility has structured the detainee activities Schedule to provide freedom of movement, extensive visitation of family and friends, and access to our gold standard programs and services.

The following activities and services are provided to all detainees, Religious Services, Indoor/Outdoor Recreation, Barbershop, Beauty Shop, ESL (English as a second language), Zumba Classes, Movie Nights, Law Library, Leisure Library, Arts and Crafts and Know Your Rights Program.

Visitation Schedule: (ICE)

Monday-Friday: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
