The IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility in Livingston, Texas has become the first of CEC’s Secure Facilities Division operation to be recommended for accreditation by the American Correctional Association (ACA). The 1,052-bed facility in Polk County did so under the tough ACA Adult Local Detention Facilities (ALDF) standards. And not only was IAH recommended for accreditation – the facility did so with a perfect score of 100% on mandatory standards and 99.6% on non-mandatory standards. The ACA audit took place on February 9th through the 11th following enormous effort by the facility’s staff to prepare themselves and the facility for inspection.
